Affirmations
Affirmations are positive statements that can help us to challenge and overcome self-sabotaging and negative thoughts. When we repeat them often, and believe in them, we can start to make positive changes in our lives.
Whisper to yourself (or shout to the mountains) these words if you ever need reminding about just how wonderful you are!
I trust my worthiness, I am enough.
I am strong.
There is no rush; I give myself the time that I need, slow down and take it easy.
I am true to myself and others.
I am who I want to be.
I am supported.
I am healthy.
I am loved.
I trust that everything will be okay.
I think about things that make me happy.
I am here, now in this very moment. This is the only reality that exists for me.
I love my body…
I love my eyes for letting me see the beauty all around me.
I love my nose for letting me smell my favourite smells.
I love my ears for letting me hear the music of the world.
I love my tongue for letting me taste the wonderful food that allows my body to grow strong.
I love my mouth for letting me speak my thoughts and to smile when I am happy.
I love my skin for letting me feel the sun and the wind on my face.
I love my heart for beating blood around my body without me having to think about it, for letting me feel my emotions deeply and show
love to my friends and family.
I love my brain for letting me learn new things, interpret the world around me and to dream beautiful dreams at night.
I love my lungs for taking air in and out of my body every day since the day I was born.
I love my tummy for turning my food into energy and keeping my body safe from harm.
I love my legs for carrying me places that I want to go to.
I love my arms for letting me carry out everyday tasks that I often take for granted and for hugging my loved ones.
I love my hands for letting me write, draw, type, fix things, cook, clean, garden, hold my cup of tea, brush my hair, high five my best friend and the many other things they allow me to do.
I love my body because it works hard to keep me safe and alive and it allows me to live my life to the fullest. I thank my body by living my life to my highest potential.
My body is so much more than an image in a picture, a mirror or someone else’s eyes. My body is beautiful and magical and I will cherish it until the day it dies.
